It Looks Like A House

Well, the trusses are on and the house is really taking shape. Marsha and Rod are extremely fast and efficient! It truly looks like a house. This is a picture I took Friday morning on the way to work...

This is a picture of the front Friday afternoon on the way home from work. See the parapet wall on the front of the garage. There's one on the back as well. It's now dark inside unless the sun is coming in through the windows.

Our next task is to decide where we want the skylights. After that, we can start installing the outlet and switch boxes. We won't do the actual wiring until after the plumbers and heating people have left. They're not scheduled until the 21st and 28th. We'll have plenty to do until then. After outlets we can paper the exterior and flash the windows. The roofers come Tuesday to paper the roof. Ooooooohhhhhh!

Oh, and the electricity will finally be here on or before the 16th. Marsha helped Steven pump the water out of the ditch and run all of the conduit for the power, telephone and cable. They spent two mornings and two evenings. They did an excellent job!
