One Hand at a Time

Today has been pretty interesting with all the things I've had to do single-handedly, literally...

One of the biggest feats - a pull on shirt. It's really stretchy, but if my husband wasn't coming home this evening I wouldn't have chanced it. I didn't realize how unprepared for this surgery I was until I got home and realized I had about three tops I could wear that button or zip. Now mind you, I have more than just three tops, but most of them are too fitted, causing extreme pain to get into them. Who would have thunk?

Since the sun is such a rare sight to behold this time of the year, I decided that I had to catch a few rays with a short walk. Besides, my legs are getting so stiff just sitting and lying around. It's been eight days since I've experienced any form of exercise. So, the point... I had to get my coat on and off using my one good hand and my teeth. Yes, you heard me right - I had to use my teeth to get the sleeve off.

Finally, I did another one handed painting. Somehow though, I got paint all over my gimpy fingers. Getting them to the sink for cleaning was no small feat. I actually gave up and used a paper towel to get off the majority of gook. The rest will simply have to wear off over time. Yeah!

No pictures today. I'll post a picture of the newest specimen tomorrow, when I have better light...
