Update

We've been so busy and my computer is still out of commission. I wish I could post pictures of how things are progressing. We have most of the siding done now. Fortunately, we've had a little bit of help on the exterior and are making headway. I've got tons of trim to paint in the next two evenings and hopefully this weekend that will be complete - or close to it.

Steven went to Seattle last weekend and got the tile for the kitchen, laundry, hall, foyer and bathrooms. We're hoping to get started with that this weekend as well. The appliances are coming this weekend too. Who knows where we'll be putting them until the tile is done in the kitchen.

Now that most all the circuits are up and running we are ready to wire the appliances - which means we are almost ready to switch to permanent power. Praise the Lord! We've been heating the house with the gas fireplace for the last month or so. Once we go to permanent power we can have the furnace fired up and get forced hot air heat, which will be far cheaper.

Did I mention that we have all the cabinets in now? Yes, it finally happened - just a month behind schedule. But that's the way building goes!

Well, I'm off to the grocery store to get sustenance so that I can paint the night away.
