I said "a Little." Anthony and Lo were here until 6:00 p.m. yesterday. With that said, not much got done. Lo and I spent a couple of hours going through stuff in the garage, making piles of stuff to send with Steven to his office, a pile for the thrift store, and a small pile of garbage. It was not as productive as I had hoped. A bit disappointing, but I got to spend quality time with my kid.
After the kids left, Steven and I got a rack set up in the garage and promptly filled it with all the tools we have been using during this construction project. We got the garage swept out and picked up (as much as we can). I was hoping to get more shelving set up, but I still have yet to find it all. So that's where we stand.
The house is mostly swept out and ready for cabinets, but no cabinets, and no call from the cabinet maker. We're a bit perplexed. I guess it's no different than anything else on this project, or any construction project for that matter. Contractors are notoriously late. I just figured we deserved the courtesy of a return phone call with a reasonable explanation of where the heck we are at on the schedule...
So, it's early, and I'm off to do more damage in the garage. Hopefully, Steven's off to finish the exterior painting. He couldn't resist going to work yesterday to take care of clients that his co-workers couldn't manage to get to for the last week. Arghh! Don't you think a little profit sharing is in order, being that indispensable and all?
