Progress is Imminent!

It's been awhile since my last post. We've had several very long nights this past week or two. Last Monday was an all-nighter, getting ready for insulation. The house is insulated. Now, we're getting ready for another electrical inspection, an insulation inspection and the sheetrockers. The house is starting to take on its shape.

Here's a picture taken from the dining room/hall area, looking toward the guest bath/laundry area into the guest bedroom.


Here's a picture looking into the master bedroom. The insulation looks really cool. It's a mixture of blown in and batt.


Here's a picture of our messy livingroom. We have all of our tools, the washing machine and the garage door sitting in the middle of the living/dining areas. We'll have to be cleaning more of our stuff out of there and putting it who knows where!!!



Yesterday we began building the pergola that goes over the garage. We've got two more to do on the back side of the house over the garage man door and the door from the master bedroom. It's been tricky doing a design as you go, but we've got to get it done before sheetrock and housewrap. Oh, yes, housewrap is on Monday too. We've hired a nice young man to do that and to hang the hardipanel. My surgeon said I couldn't hang sheetrock or hardipanel. Yeah!

Well, it's time to go wash off this stain that wouldn't come off last night (from the soffits) and go back to it!
