This Week's Progress

This last week we've had the plumbers and the heating/mechanical contractor at the house. So, we have water - sort of... We have a furnace, but no heat pump yet. And, we have a fireplace, which could heat the house if we so desired.

Steven and I met with an electrician who is consulting/educating us on the grand scheme of things. We set electric boxes, bought lots of wire and fixtures, firming things up - I hope.

Sunday we cut holes in the roof for the 4 solatubes and put ice and water shield on the garage roof and parapet walls. Tonight we have to cover the cap of the parapet walls with the ice and water shield. Steven woke up this morning realizing that the parapet walls are open to the weather, and they are filled with insulation. Yuck!
