Well, here it is - The Twinkie! This will be our home for 8-10 months. What do you think? It's kind of retro. We're trying to keep the retro look and feel inside without making it look too dated. I've picked some really neat print fabric to recover the upholstery. Steven picked some silver mini blinds for the side windows. We'll utilize the original white curtains in the back, and it's my job to whip up some new curtains for the front bank of windows.
We had dark wood and an orange countertop to contend with when considering the fabric. I think we were successful in choosing something retro yet updated. More pictures to follow.
I'm hoping to install the cool yellow marmoleum remnant we got from our friends for the bathroom this weekend. It's a really small space - hopefully it won't turn into an all day event!
We're also going to the site this weekend to lay out the foundation for the excavator. We've scheduled him to come out in the next two or three weeks. OOOHHH!!!
