You Know You're Tired When...

You put three blops of expensive face cream in your hair before you realize that it's not hair goo.

You can't wait for the coffee maker to finish brewing and you pull out the pot only to have a stream of coffee land on the burner.

You forget what day it is and lose a discount at the local building supply store by not paying by the 10th.

You have yet to submit this month's draw to the bank and you really don't care...

We are exhausted. Yesterday was a twelve hour day. Come to think of it, the last three have been twelve hour days. We were contemplating getting something to eat last night and going back to the house to get to work on painting the inside, but neither of us budged once we sat down. I was asleep on the couch by 8:30. We did manage to get a lot accomplished yesterday, despite the fatigue. We started painting the hardipanel, leaving the cedar for later. I wanted to get the cedar finished on the front of the house, but Steven reminded me that we can do that in the rain, if need be. Total yuck!

The "textured" paint we purchased for the siding is basically thick paint with sand in it. It is very unforgiving stuff. You can't roll the roller over it in every direction like Steven does when he paints or all the sand clumps in one spot. That gets pretty ugly. So, if you are industrious, like Steven is, you purchase a palm sander and sand the piles of sand off the wall.

We got all the hardipanel painted yesterday but the high wall on the living room that sits above the lower roof. Today may be too hot to do any outside paint, so I'm pushing for inside painting. We'll see..

Here are some pictures of the hardipanel. You can see Steven sanding the clumps and a picture of the office wall. There is some sanding to be done there...

Lookin good! I showed your pics off to Lyn and Dr L today, everyone is so proud of you guys! We miss you, but the clinic has been Q.U.I.E.T. I guess everyone knew to give us a break while you're away- well, everyone except a couple special folks.... :o) Pay attention when you put your face cream on tomorrow and watch out for what you put in your hair!
