Slow But Steady Progress...

As you can see, things are coming along. The sheetrocker is spraying mud and our siding guy is hanging the hardipanel. We got a second load of cedar siding yesterday and purchased our stain today. It's going to be awhile before you see it up on the house. It takes a long time to stain both sides of each board. Now we're looking for a textured paint to cover the nails and seams in the hardipanel. Anyone out there know of a good product?

Hi Jay--I posted a response to your comment on my blog today, but just in case you didn't get back there...here you go:

"Hi Jay--Once upon a time I happened on your blog too and really like the look of your place! I'll be happy to fill you in on some of the details if you have any questions. Email is surfit04 at comcast dot net.

Bottom line on Hardipanels is follow the manufacturer's guidance (available in .pdf from the Hardie site) to a "T"! Nailing the stuff is tricky business."
