New Deadline Looms

I must sound like a broken record, but we are still wiring. We've graduated, however, to low voltage wiring. We pulled several runs of Cat 5e for phone, which we won't use, but for resale... Then it was coax for tv. We pulled 500 feet of the stuff and still have several runs to do. Another trip to Home Depot! A trip to Home Depot is ridiculous though. It's 40 miles away. Sometimes I regret choosing to live on an island. But, alas, I can sit back and watch the deer walk through my yard, the racoons fight in my trees, and eagles fly over my head while sitting back to enjoy the sea breeze while sipping lemonade! Okay, a trip to Home Depot is no big deal. It just takes precious time - something that is at a commodity right now.

Back to wiring... We pulled Cat 6 for special things to do between the tv and the computer, like watch movies we download on the computer and pipe over to the tv - all way over my head. Tonight will be pulling more Cat 6 for internet. Then, we have to staple down the wire management clips and set the wires in them.

I spent Saturday staining the tongue and groove pine boards that will go on the porch ceiling. The deadline I mentioned - insulation July 9th. We have to have the wiring done and inspected and the ceiling up on the porch before the insulators can come. It wouldn't be so much of a push other than the fact that the sheetrockers are ready. We don't want to put them off and have them start another job. We'll be stuck waiting until their done before we can get going on interior paint and trim. We have exterior stuff to do as well, but we've got some help in that department - yeah!

Well, it's time to finish getting ready for work...
