Finding the Extraordinary in the Ordinary

Below is a picture of one of the performers at Pike Place Market that I photographed last year. My youngest daughter and I ventured there together to photograph people at work. It was my first time driving into Seattle. We had the best time together. We got lost and found a group of construction workers performing tai chi - it was 7:30 a.m. on a Saturday morning! Lo got out to photograph the happy clan, with their permission, of course. They were all pleased as punch and struck an amusing pose. Sadly, the photograph didn't come out. It would have been the most fabulous photo... I suppose there is something to be learned as a result. We had a blast finding them and having the opportunity to take their picture. I guess maybe Lo wasn't supposed to get too attached to actually getting a perfect picture - or any picture at all.

What do you think?
